Almost the same thing-new carb,new mainfold--- NO horse power---forgot to take up the slack in the throttle cable----!!! Of course that was SEVERAL hours later------!!

TO THE GURU: as a matter of fact, I DO have cruise control. It's made by "MY RIGHT FOOT, Inc."

I try to keep the engine bay clean because I use it as advertisement for the valve cover adapter plates I manufacture (sorry for the shameless commercial). My engine has actually fooled a couple of the big block boys (for a short time). The 351 is a lot more manageable than a real 427 but I think most will agree that a pair of pentroof valve covers just looks "correct" under a cobra's hood.

Brent - your absolutely not alone. I've known I was only getting 40% on the secondaries but just fixed it yesterday - WOW! Last night I hit it in 2nd around a shallow curve and immediatly felt the back end get loose - it's like having a turbo. Be careful and enjoy!

Less than 100% throttle is not so uncommon on lots of cars. Including the Ford or whatever you have parked in your driveway! I've seen it often enough that when ever I get a car new to me it's one of the first things I check.
