White cloth baseball cap with Cobra emblem in the middle above the bill with the adjusting strap TIGHT. I also pulled it down forward to keep the wind out from under it.
If you raise your head, the hat's gone. Did it once and had to go back and get it before it got run over.
I just scrunch down in the seat at speed. As long as the bill is below the top of the windshield you're ok.

In the summer I wear the only other Gashole hat in the UK (wife has the other one).
In the winter it gets a mite chilly, so I am afraid that I wear the contrivance pictured below. Works very well, and who needs to personally look good when one is in a Cobra?

Black stocking cap with 'Hurricane' in white lettering - a promo from the Denzel Washington movie.
My wife wears a straw Panama with a drawstring under her chin. Almost does a 'Flying Nun' levitation over 80 mph.

Actually Al,..... if the truth be told..... I showed him that idea at the fling last June...... but by all means, feel free to run with it
By the way, these eye glass strings come in various designs... get the one that has the flexable plastic loops on each end. You'll have to slip off the metal gizmos to allow the loop to 'expand'. You then open up the hats "one size fits all" adjuster, slip the loops over the adjuster, and your done

Wilf,
Based on several other pictures I've seen of you, I'm betting you don't have any pants on while sitting in that car.

I use this little cord about 6 inches long. It has real small alligator clips at each end. I clip one end to the back of the ball cap adjuster and the other end clips to the back of my collar or t shirt. If the hat blows off all I have to do is reach back and put it back on. It works great. This little trick came straight from my buddy Scotty Hampson in Australia. Thanks Scotty !!

Same here. I got the idea from a fly fisherman. "Idiot Mitten" clips. Available at most sporting goods stores in pairs (might be seasonal).

Gasholes cap
I use a "Kap Keeper" that's the same type of thing Hersh uses--started using them years ago after losing several favorite hats overboard--among them a signed Broncos Superbowl team hat with Elway and Sharpes signature--
Clip it to the band then your shirt collar if worn forward to the bill if you be runnin' hard
Haven't lost a cap yet with those little suckers

Thanks all for the great suggestions and methods. I drove to a local car show this morning and decided not to wear a hat until I got there since I didn't have time to read your posts before I left. My hair looked like hell, though. The girls in L.A. tend to dislike guys wearing baseball caps backwards so I might try the "Kap Keeper". Anyone try to invert the cap bill. On second thought that might look a little goofy.

Albert - trust me, it was about 5 degrees C below when that picture was taken, no way was I running without pants!
I think my butt would have frozen to the leather else, and how would I have explained that to the wife??

I wear my Club Cobra (old logo) hat and a 'roadster clip' to keep it on.
