Re no e-mail notifications

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me ? I was getting some yesterday morning but haven't gotten any at all today and several of the threads that I posted to have been posted to later.

Ron

,,,they seem to come and go. Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't.

I have not received them for over 6 months???

I am logged into the club right now and I never even got the notification that two people had answered this. I did check my options and I don't have it turned off.

Ron,

Not exactly sure what the problem is???? I'm reading this several different ways...;) :MECOOL:

sorry Ron, just couldn't resist...

SAME HERE

Hmmm...... Some ideas.

1. Do you have a spam filter and accidently got this mail black listed?

2. You're sure the email address is correct in your profile?

3. I'll see if there's anything buggered up on the server....

Ron61 12-02-2003 06:10 AM

Brent,

No, I have the same setup that I have been using for the past 4 months and I checked in my options and I have the e-mail turned on. I never got any at all this morning and this post and 4 others that I am active in had answers posted yesterday after I logged off. I have periods of geting tham and not getting them but they are usually just a day or so.

Thanks

Ron

Hmmm....What happens if you subscribe to the thread (should be a button near the bottom of the page)? Just trying to see where things are breaking down.

Ron61 12-02-2003 10:00 AM

Brent,

I just subscribed to the thread. I was on the club and logged in when you posted your answer and I haven't received a single notification, but found 5 threads that I have posted in that had new posts. I will now wait and see what happens after I subscribed to this thread. It took the subscription ok, or at least told me I was now subscribed to this thread.

Ron :o

test

Ron61 12-02-2003 12:35 PM

Brent,

I just got home from making a payment on my big block and had answers on five of the posts that I am subscribed to but no e-mail notifications at all. I just noticed that you were the last to post in this one and looked at it to see what you said. I got no e-mail notification at all.

Thanks,

Ron  :(

Not only are there no email notifications but if you try to email another club member that function does not work either.

The mailer daemon probably has blown rings!

Ron61 12-02-2003 04:23 PM

Art,

I sent you a test e-mail through the link on your post and it said it had sent it ok. However I haven't had an e-mail notification since Sunday as I went back and dug up my old ones for the past week.

Ron :)

Brent Mills 12-02-2003 08:50 PM

test...Tinkered with a few things, but I don't think it would have changed this.

Ron, another thread reminded me about this possibility....Do you see a black dot on the envelope for this thread when you look at the thread list? If it's there, it would suggest that you are subscribed and should be getting notifications. If there isn't a black dot on the envelope, well, I may be trying to fix the wrong thing. :)

xlr8or 12-02-2003 10:57 PM

I thought the black dot meant you posted not subscribed..?

Brent Mills 12-02-2003 11:09 PM

I *think* it does it if you're subscribed too.....This is mainly a test to see if the system understands that he has either posted or subscribed to the thread. If it doesn't, then I am pretty sure mail is not being sent for another reason than email not working right.

bnewell 12-03-2003 04:51 AM

Brent ~ not to get off topic but I also have not been able to log into my club cobra email account for some time.

Brain,
This is probably intentional as you reside near the 270 zone around Columbus which is unsafe and you're still trying to unload your SPF on the board. Have you broken the news to Gary O that you're looking at new Shelbys?;) You'll soon be missing the SCOF interactions also but don't worry, we still like you. Hey, it's close to Christmas and I have to be nice to the guy or he'll take me off his Christmas list!:D

REDSC400 12-03-2003 06:49 AM

RON61:
Sorry but your email was not received.
As I said before, it does appear that inter-member emails are not being sent even though you (as the sender) are lead to believe they are successful.
