408 stroker backfire problem

good morning

i have problem, my engine backfires out of right sidepipe
after each shift.when i accellerate hard it backfires.easy and
it doesnt.

Could possibly be a blown header gasket on that side....or you could be running pretty rich on that side also. Check your spark plugs and see what condition they're in. Might also wanna yank the header off on that side, and see if you can see any tinged areas.

Charles, best bet is that you've blown a header gasket. I had the same problem a while back. Just like Blykins says, pull the header bolts, unbolt the side pipe from the frame (if yours is anything like my Unique) and take a look at the gasket (you might need a mirror depending on sight clearance).
