Eric, sure sounds like a car salesman!
Eric, if one were to come down and place an order with you the week after New Years day, how long would it take for a fiberglass CSX to come in and what is required down? And what happens to the down payment if the car does not come in during the time frame stated? Oh, and how much with the soft top, side window shields and tonnaw cover, oil cooler and lines.
thanks

Jamo-
Could we have a picture of the "object" that gave rise to the need for the "J" model?

How many versions of the J model are there? Can we expect to see these models at Big & Tall stores throughout the country soon?

Due to unavoidable restrictions on the number of times said "object" may be viewed without constituting a violation of FCC regulations by this site, we will be unable to comply with your request at this time. However, negotiations are ongoing with Provo for the licensing of said "object" so that it may used as the design for the model's emblems in the future.

Shortie Evans
There will be J models across the line, including an FIA-FA version as well as a Flabside.
Rochesters wants Tall versions to complement the Big ones.
They're waiting on you.

Well Mr. B.
I most certainly would. Maybe you should take the time to check out builders such as Caterham. (They are the offical Lotus 7 builders, licensed by Lotus Cars.) Hint: The insides of their cars are a bit larger. Also, they build a specifically larger unit as well.
Also see: Westfield and Dax.

Then again - as you once said - you aren't really in the Cobra replica business. So you can pretty much take as many judgements as you want - you don't have the same constraints as the other manufacturers/builders do.

You are correct. They are building replicas of Cobra's, not 59 Cadillacs. (There is plenty of room in a 59 caddy already, so the point is moot.)
But is not your builder modifying some interiors to allow folks to fit? You know, Mr. J., Morris,. etc.
Are they not the best builders of replica's?
Is this wrong? Does it denigrate the car? All they are doing is applying proper engineering and ergonomics to their design.
My Statement was simply that any builder could fit real humans into their cars if they looked beyond what their grandfathers did.
(I think that this is what I said earlier, could be wrong here!)

Also Mr. B,
Thanks much for thinking the JBL cars are cool. But you are correct. They are not good replicas and they are not good modern race cars from a aero standpoint in standard body trim.
I think that you will have to ask folks that have a JBL what the design purpose was. Or read the first page on the website.
And no, there is not a race series for them. Is there a race series for your car?
Now, a quick question for you.
What is your agenda?
You have gone out of your way to post things that are just a bit on the b!tchy side when it involves JBL or myself.
Have we met? Did I make a pass at your wife? Daughter?
In other words,
What did I do to piss you off?

Jamo,
I feel that my response was quite respectfull.
If you think that it was not, please point me in the correct direction. (Seriously!)
I am just calling as I see it. (And Nicely to boot.)
But, I could be wrong. It would only be the 500k time that I was. (According to the wife.)

Listen to BIG Bob Evans. Until you guys decide to enroll in a Genentech experiment to increase your height, you won't get any taller than this guy: 7'1" and it is all legs. You 6'5" guys are pikers compared to this character. He bumps his head on my cathedral ceiling, and yet, he fits into his Unique with no problem at all.
As for me, I'm so puny that David Kirkham is thinking of making me a one off, 1/4 scale Comp car as a daily driver.

Richard-
It seems to me that YOUR agenda is transparently self serving - I just like to see things done in a fair manner and you don't come across that way to me.
You make a really nice car and you seem to be held in high regard around here - so why the bs with the challenge and now the comment putting down other Cobra manufacturers?
Talk about *****y - your response was a classic case.
I don't know if I have met you or not - don't really care - what you say on this forum is enough to make my opinion up about you though.
Not looking good.

See, there's your marketing David!
Nike names shoes after people, and you even have the ability of having a high top basketball model named for a former player, or after a real orginal owner, etc.
Best thing is, I think your Polish masters are treated a bit better than Nike's young shoemakers.

Nike,
Not going there. Don't want to have any part of that.
Jamo,
Just what do you mean by 300 lbs of stealth when you drive a 500 hp monster?

Richard,
Your car is very impressive to me in it's technical design and the looks ain't too bad either.
Around here your audience is 90% show and that group only cares about looking like the real thing. They are more impressed by a tricked up, all dressed up for a party then a legit Cobra.
For example:
One time at LRP Car show a couple of guys were looking at a Comp Cobra(a real one) that was far from prestine, dirty engine, scratched paint. Tied down to the trailer by straps around the beat up spinners. These two bozos were laughing and pointing out all the flaws on a genuine CSX Comp. car owned by one of the best restorers in the East.
They had no idea they were looking at the only real Cobra at the show.
BTW those two owned identical, all dressed up but not very well built replicas that are considered on the bottom of the food chain.
The point is most can be fooled by fancy paint or detailed engines when the workings of the car are a piece of crap.
Richard keep up the good work, a few of us appreciate it.
Cranky
BTW some around here suffer from SGS
