Took a look at Jeff's car. Very nicely done. Not sure that I'm in to red, though. Prefer black or viking blue.
I'll take up a few discussions over private messaging so I can ask a few (sensitive) questions. CC threads can get a little dramatic sometimes...
I like the idea of building a car from a pallet kit, but not stuck on the idea. If I found a good, used 289FIA at the right price and right time, I'd go for it.
