Default Barrett-Jackson Auction on SPEED

I think the Barrett-Jackson auction is on SPEED starting on 1-22 thru 1-24. Their web site lists 2 different sets of dates. I would imagine it is a Thursday, Friday, Saturday event. Does anyone know for sure?

If by event you mean how long the auction runs it is actually Thursday through Sunday. Saturday is definitely the day where the best cars run across the auction block so that will definitely be covered.

I'm still waiting for them to call me and let me know I won the $50,000 contest! Maybe I should call the phone company to be sure my phone line is still working okay! If it is my next call will be to the Speed channel to inform them of this oversight.

I was in attendance at last January's auction. Wow what a neat event. Very well run. Actually there were 3 auctions running at the same time. One was the Barrett-Jackson and there were two others going on nearby.

The vast tent city of automotive vendors that surrounds the site is a true candy store.

The auction is interesting to attend. I was not in the bidders corral but in the cheap seats.

Walking around looking at the cars that are outside, under tents, awaiting their turn to hit the stage is perhaps the best part of the show.

The auto transport guys (like InterCity Lines) are there in droves. Most everthing there is trucked in and trucked out.

This event is very much worth attending at least once in life IMHO. If there is any way to get there in person, by all means plan to go. The eye candy in attendance (I am not talking just about autos here... ahem. is quite amazing... nice manifolds)

I will be watching on TV this year.

Cheers

Where is the auction held?

I had a great time last year watching for hours on end. If only I had about 2 million to spare
