Pat gave us permission to plagiarize his post brackets. You have to check what threads and angles the screws are at as there are two types I've seen.

Not quite what you asked for, but these mirror mounts work better than anything I have tried.

mirror mounts are made out of stainless.

if you have a hole in your fender make a stainless badge to cover it.





another way is to use a small piece of aluminum, bend it and use 10/32 T-nuts to mount it to the windshield frame

I like the way these look,would you have a view from the left side of the car for a better view of how they attach?
Our car is bagged for the winter so cannot check the screws you speak off.
