Not bad at all...and that's why I got them (same problems with the stickons you cite). They are very linear, and they don't scratch as easy. I don't think they are good for the side because they do decrease the size of the image a bit much for my taste, which makes it tougher looking through the wings...but for the middle, they are really good.
