for those who may be interested, i have posted some new pictures in my gallery of the aluminum work i'm doing on the SV car. footboxes, wheel wells, nose bowl area and firewall all done except for the blind rivits that will be required on final assembly. i'm about ready to pull the body off...i hope. i never seem to finish.
i'm working on the area under the door in the cockpit area at present. am trying to flush the area so carpet and sound proofing material may be added.
comments and ideas please !!!!!!!!!!!!!..
Your work looks fantastic!
I did some similar work on my car and found that a bead roller really dresses up the project. I bought mine at Harbor freight for $100.00.
i used .032 3003 aluminum, its pretty easy to work with.
i'll use .050 for the panels under the doors that carpet and soundproofing will attach
roger...your work looks fantastic and thanks for the tip on the bead roller, i'll check on that today. 100 bucks is right down my alley. did you use hole punches for the lightening holes in the panels under the doors in the cockpit? more pics later.
