In my view, any filter that would fit in the turkey pan is too small for proper air flow. Look at the height and dia of the 358 in2 NASCAR air filter as your guide. Even a street motor should be at least 2 inches tall and large dia or 3 inches tall and medium diameter.
Of course, you can use it, but you will start to drop hp above 3500-4000 rpm or so. And unless you create a proper seal around the pan top lid, it won't ensure cooler and smoother air, anyway, filters or not.
But, it looks cool I'll admit.
