Just sent in photos of SPF 887 to the DCG. I have some winter shots (you can see them in my gallery), and some photos taken of my car last year at the Zippo Vintage Grand Prix in Watkins Glen, NY.

We used my car to take some video of the Superformance cars in the "parade" laps (Superformance MKIII was used as a pace car for the racing that weekend). Come to think of it..... both pace cars were SMALL BLOCKS!!! (save that for Friday. another place, another time)

Anyhows, I have some photos of my car coming up through the esses.... on the first shot, my cameraman is doing his faithful duty, filming the cars coming up the hill behind us. The second shot shows us drifting onto the straight, and he is no longer filming.... he has turned around and is looking to see the action as we blasted onto the straight!! I will have to add these shots to my gallery ;-)

Looking forward to the next show!!!

I just saw Hal Copple and Mike Stenhouse on DCG. What a riot! Too bad you guys had to race in the rain, and you couldn't really open them up. The cars looked great, although I think the TV added about 10 lbs to the cars.

It's nice to see these cars getting positive media attention. I sent my pix last night and didn't get them back, so they must've had room in the box.

Default They want even *more* Superformance Photos!

"A moment with Tom..." Co-Host of Dream Car garage;

http://www.dreamcargarage.com/moment...m_20040227.htm

"...Woah. I'm blown away by the enthusiasm with which the Superformance community has responded to my call for photos. The thing is, while I've been pouring through over thirty photographs and portfolios, I've been neglecting my work.

So please send me some more. Spread the word.

Allan Skok has agreed to help me make up a photo album we can put on the website for all to see once we've received all we are going to receive. This will be a fun project..."

=============================================

As posted on their "owners manual..."

http://www.dreamcargarage.com/show_n...show_notes.htm

"...Dream Car Garage joins the Superformance Owner's Group Bi-Annual Owner's Education Day at the Virginia International Raceway to learn how to drive quickly and as it turns out do it in the rain. The crew had a chance to ride along with South African racing legend Bob Olthoff in a Superformance Mark III. How does 155 mph in an open top roadster on a wet track grab you? Now that's fun!

These cars are really high powered and tricky to drive quickly. So Superformance likes to get their owners out to learn how to drive their cars and get a chance to interact with the owners of these awesome performance machines that where a part of their lives growing up in the sixties. Completely based on the Cobra these cars usher in a bygone era in automotive history and Cobra racing of the early '60s, but add in more modern amenities.

The original cars are irreplaceable and very expensive so if you own one and race it, you might break it! These Superformance versions allow you to live the dream and still have a lot of fun! They're robust and they're dependable! They also have a great engine - the Windsor Engine which comes from RDI, just north of Charlotte. This engine has iron sleeves in it so you can boar it out to a 4 and an 8th and stroke it out to 4" which gives you 427 cubic inches - the magic number!

Anyone who grew up in the sixties fell in love with the Cobra shape. Unlike the hyper expensive originals the Mark III can be driven hard and put away wet and still used everyday to go to work. Hey just ask Doug, Hal, Mike or any of the other great Superformance owners we met that weekend.
