Keven,

I was impressed with the cars at KC World of Wheels. I pestered them for awhile about a 289 FIA and they said they were entertaining the idea. Just very nice people and a very nice car. Congratulations! I live just south of you in Raymore. When you get her drive her down and give me a look.

I have been to the Premier facility 3 times and I have to agree they are a top notch company. They treat ever car like it is the only car and they will go over every detail with you so you understand every part of the car. They have designed the chassis so you can use either the original or their upgraded version (and go back to the original setup if you like). I have met Chuck several times and a nicer guy (other than me...), you won't find.

I do however believe that a statement that they are the "benchmark" of Cobra manufactures is rediculous. The problem with this forum is that certain people can't get over saying whom is "the best". There are so many different styles of Cobra, no single manufacturer can be "the best" at them all. The fastest Cobra I have seen in the 1/4 mile was a "highly modified" Factory Five Cobra. The best looking Cobra I ever saw was a ERA at a car show with a SOHC 427 engine and the entire engine bay and suspension was chromed. The best looking wheels I have seen were not "original style" wheels. The best looking and most comfortable seats I ever sat in were in a Midstates Cobra. We know that the JBL is suppose to be "the Cobra" when it comes to the suspension. The point is simple, there are Cobra Manufacturers that build a certain "style" of a Cobra and there are manufacturers that are the "elite" at what they do. Premier is one of the "elite" Cobra manufacturers in the business today.

Well put BANDIT 1, the "best" is not the importatant point. The diversity of quality is. I'm still having a helluva time making a decision on my project because there are so many good ones out there. The only "best" car is the one that punches your ticket.

Lineslinger,
still working the program, decision coming soon.

Yes, it is just comforting to know you have several EXCELLENT choices and several GOOD choices and only have to decide which one is best for you. At the infancy of this industry it was "buyer beware!". There is so much joy being manufactured out there these days. Not nearly as many tales of woe.

We're getting a good gully washer here today, so I'm hoping all the cinder they have spread over the winter is going down the sewers so I can start thinking about taking out my PMS Cobra!

Fake Snake, I have to travel through Columbia quite often to pick up and drop off my son up in Kirksville-Truman. Maybe at some point when it gets a little warmer I could give you a yell and you would let me stick my head in your garage to check out your "sled"?

That would be fine. What's the best way to hook up?

Exclamation

Now that someone is using this 10 year old thread in an attempt to entice people to buy 1 of 6 "unfinished, yet easy to finish" kits on Ebay, I highly suggest you CLICK HERE to be taken to the modern day discussion on the same auction(s).
