A word of advise from someone who has had both a small block and a big block in his Cobra. Go with a 351/383 stroker. Reasons: Easier maintainence. easier and cheaper access to parts (new and used), Equal horsepower with better handling.
Don't get me wrong I love my 428 CJ, but if I had it to do over again.....I would go back with a small block. Lots of problems are eliminated with a small block more problems are incurred with a big block.
I will be glad to provide examples if you like.
