The shipping segment as we approach the end of Act 1, Scene 1 could be amusing as well. Jim, call Intercity and ask if their rate is 25% of hauling a whole car if you just give them the right rear corner of it.

This is getting better with each post. I see that SF posted on the What is a GT-500KR worth post that he would take it. Maybe he had better see if he can get the wheels off first. Gads, if I ever have anything like this happen to me I am going to keep quite about it. Nothing like having the whole world watching and laughing.

I hope at the end of all this we don't find out the safety wire was still on.

I would dignify this reply with a response, but you'd just post up again. PADDER!!

SF,
Great news. Now what do we do for entertainment? Do you have any other projects that you are going to start soon. You know, such as Can't get the carb off & etc.

It's off! It's really off!
Well, I tried every suggestion(except the one Turk PM'ed me about wearing women's panties ) and nothing worked. After several days of ridicule, humiliation, and sleepless nights, the wheel is finally off. No damage was done to the wheel, spinner, or car(although my lower back hurts a little).
How did Southernfriedcj8(an accomplishment of this magnitude deserves the third person) get the wheel off you ask? Well, I'll tell you.
In the wee hours of Saturday morning, as I contemplated a call to Mike(in Lawrenceville, thanks for the offer) to borrow his high dollar spinner removal tool and to our very own Toymolester(thanks for the offer) for a little help on Sunday, I decided I should give the spinner one more try. I got a 2' long piece of 2"x6" wood, and set one end on a spinner "leg"(which was parallel to the floor) and the other end on the pad of a raised floor jack. I then pulled out the trusty 20 pound sledge and proceded to knock the p!ss out of the board. The board, of course, busted and splintered, but there was no injury to man or machine, and no movement of the spinner. At this point I was thinking about the ride to Lawrenceville to borrow Mike's spinner removal tool, when I started thinking about the ant and the rubber tree plant. Never been a quiter, never will, I got a friend named sledge hammer. I proceded to whack the board about 10 more times. The last time something felt different. The spinner had moved slightly. I put the board back on and with one more whack, she was loose.
I didn't see any galling, and there was antisieze on the surfaces and threads. Maybe Jamo tightened it up when he wrote me the love note(I'll post a digital pic of said note in my gallery tonight).
In appreciate all the replies and moral support, and I'll get even with every last one of you Rat Bastids!

David, it was a good day. Yesterday I went to NAPA to pick up my "ordered" 1/2" allen wrench, got home and realized they gave me a 5/8". Today I went to Northern Tool and got a set of 10 BIG allen wrenches, in a big red case, for only $13. The rear suspension is now in a box waiting for the UPS man.
U289FIA, fun while it lasted? I'm not even done taking the car apart, and then I've got to put it back together! There's plenty more to come!
Jim

I wish I had been there to see it. Amazing what wood and a hammer and jack can do. Came in handy when I had to align the motor and motor mounts.

I have 32 lbs of air in my left rear tire.
I can't get the air out!!
I have tried everything, except stabbing the tire with a knife.
