Jim,
Now that the wheel is off, which part are you going to attack next? This is just to good of a threat to let end here. There must be parts left that you haven't tried yet.

I can't believe it.
I truly believed that this would go on 'till at least Easter.
SFCJ - you have ruined my week. To think that brute force achieved what science could not.
Next time - piece of 1" gas pipe over the "ear" of the spinner and back the car up. Surprised no-one else suggested this - worked for me on a double decker bus!

Wilf, I tried that. It just raised the car off the ground!;)

Doug,
Wilf probably had the car on the upper deck. That way when it hit the ground he had the full weight of the car plus the speed of the fall to twist the pipe. :D
Ron

Take the center cap off the spinner, load about 4 ice cubes into the hole and hold them there as they melt. Once the inside of the hub is good and cold, give the spinner a good smack with your lead hammer.

Yes this did sound a bit strange, but after 45 min. of pounding away with a lead hammer and shattering a 2X4 with a 10lb sledge, I tried this and a few moderate taps with the lead hammer took it right off! Thanks for the suggestion!!
