Be Aware of this Scam...
There has been a lot of talk lately about the bogus eBay auctions, that are facilitated by the theft of eBay accounts. This is accomplished by the scammers receiving responses to trick e-mails, asking for account info. This has also been a problem with stolen PayPal info.
Well, it spreads further than that...
Be aware of e-mails similar to the one shown below.
Honestly, it is preposterous to think that a bank would make a communication such as this... but apparently, people respond to it.
The trick is that, although the URL that you click on is a legit address, the code behind it routes you to a counterfeit server that has you fill out an official looking form, with all your personal banking info.
Be alert.
