I got the plate "WHTNUKL" for my Cobra 18 years before I bought the car. I knew I wanted a Cobra for that long. The plate went on a dune buggy, 4WD truck, and my every day truck, before it went on the Cobra.

For those of you that used to go to Disneyland in the old days, you'll understand why my license plate from says "E" TICKET PLEASE. It gets a lot of smiles at the shows.

Just sent away for plates and applied for two options.

ASP4FUN
GR8TASP....

If either of these is not available just what the state of CA can give me from their prisoner manufactured system.

The all time best license plate I have ever seen was on a vintage Ferrari: "No Wife" (I think that says it all.)

FYI for those in IL and maybe some other states. Numbers must be at the beginning or the ending of the plate number, not in the middle. IL just rejected all my SN8K... variations. Guess I should have read the fine print.

Also, best I saw was a bright red porshe at a light years ago, top down, plates were 'WASHIS'

Thanks Brent for bringing this one back to the top for those of us who haven't seen it yet!

My 289 Cobra has a lic. plate that says; "USRRC 64", with a frame that reads; "Caution: I brake for Corvettes!" (A little Tongue-in-cheek rib at the Corvette guys for getting whooped so bad in the '63-'65 USRRC series)

I also have a frame that reads; "Dedicated to the Memory of Ken Miles" that I switch to occasionally.

My '97 GMC Savanna Van also has a plate that reads: "7 Footer". I've had that one since 1975 when personalized plates first came out in CA.

Right now, I also have mounted on my dash an old "E-ticket" coupon from Disney land, right in full view of the passenger. I'm having another small plaque made that will go right next to it that will read; "Caution; Objects in Mirror Disappear Quickly", just in case the unsuspecting passenger has any doubts!
Bob

Smile

The KRs plate reads 428CJ2 and the cobra reads 401K4US. 17,000 miles and counting.
