I was 23 when I got mine in 1968. So I have had it for 54 years. Talked my dad into cosigning on the loan as I was graduating from college. I kept telling him it was going to be worth a lot more in the future. I was thinking 10 grand. It took a week to convince him. I really didn't care if it went up in value I just wanted the car. With my college loan and the payments on the car I had very little extra cash for the next 2 years. Right after I got it there were times I couldn't afford to drive it except to work. You know gas was expensive at 36 cents per gallon.

Thumbs up

When I first replied to this post back in '99 I was 56 years young. Today I'm 69 and still loving and enjoying my Cobra. This post has been around a while thanks to Scott for starting it. I guess the average age has gone up a bit, don't you think?
