Upload the video to any video site (YouTube, etc) and then copy link and post in thread here on Club Cobra.

Need some advice as I have photos from 442kb to 772kb and when we try to resize them to 640 x 480 they are not clear. Some won't go below the 39k requirement either. We have cropped them as small as we can to get them to the size they are currently. Any suggestions?

Ron,

Is there a new limit to amount of photo's that can be uploaded? I got the message that I must delete photo's in order to make room to upload more.

Yes.... registered members get 20 meg of space, contributing members get 100 meg.

computerworks 12-01-2007 01:32 PM

Alan...I took a look... you have 19.9mb used. so you are right at 'full'

Please check some of your pictures...the file size is excessive.
You have a header shot that is almost 1 meg by itself.... the pics can be much smaller and still look good. 400k, 500k, 600k is way too large for regular web pictures.

Zap a few of the big 'uns and you should free up some space.

Full Throttle Al 12-02-2007 06:55 AM

While I am sorry to see the unlimited photo policy go, there are also sites on the net that allow you to post/store unlimited photos, such as:

http://www2.snapfish.com

This site is from HP. You can also have them make very cool books with your photos at a very good price.

I have 10 photos in the (select photos to be uploaded) section. Then it says to select the photos I want uploaded?? How do I select??The first time when I hit upload/submit nothing happened???Help....never mind, pics were to big

OK, this may be a stupid question, but I have several photo albums in my profile which apparently no one can see (or they don't think to look there). How can I move/copy them into the Club Cobra Member Galleries?

computerworks 05-13-2010 01:51 PM

The "Albums" are part of the User Profile in the Forum software.

The Photo Gallery is a separate software package that is bridged to the Forum software at the username level...and that's all.

Basically, you can't do what you are asking.

You can only upload the pictures again...this time, into your Gallery

I can't get the "Insert" link for photos to show up when I try to reply to this thread and add a few photos. Any reason why? I don't have any problem on other threads.

computerworks 07-09-2010 06:40 PM

hmmm. no good reason, should be there.

If not, just manually put URL tags around the Link you are trying to insert.

PHP Code:

 [url]yourlink.com/image.jpg[/url

RON,
Am I missing something? The avatar that I have been using for years no longer shows up? Did the avatar I was using become to large for the new program,?

Wouldn't it be nice if someone clever writes an application for websites:
"Filesize too big for uploading, resizing to maximum size. - Okay?"

Or do we need a computer for this ;-)

Don 02-05-2012 12:28 PM

Ron, when using a smart phone, such as iPhone4s,5.0.1, to take the digital picture, need to send to my home computer mail box, Apple 10.6.8, Mail 4.5, first via ISP and then proceed, or ?

Looked for an app on iTunes, did not find anything.

Any details would be appreciated......thanks

The market has changed quite a bit over the past few years, and one of these sites may be an alternative for members.

My son recommended and set me up with Imgur a few months ago and I'm almost dangerous now with posting photos. It's been simple and I've been pleased. I've been pasting in the BB Code in the size option 'Huge Thumbnail'. Still need to test other options and such, but so far so good. Can create separate folders for each project for some organization. No cost so far, yet!
