By the way in a 100 KPH zone in Victoria, Australia (read 60mph) you are booked by cameras at 104kph. Now that less than 2 mph over in US language.
Imagine this on the 405 heading south to San Diego, you arer in a 55mph zone and cameras are booking you because you are travelling at 57 or 58mph. I'm serious that is what happens here.
Try travelling down the 405 in peak at watching your speedo at 55mph and staying within 2mph - now your understanding what is going on here at $155 per time and 1 point. If you do not have cruise control set at 100kph (60mph) your done. As I said who is pulling who's chain.. 
Off my soapbox now...
It's not about the speeding it's plainly about revenue raising. Convince me otherwise..
