Ok guys before this gets out of hand:
1) Accurate to original look, asymmetry, and feel is what Contemporary Classic are all about. They did that well!
Your comparison above is not fair since newer 4000 cars are also not SC in design. The CCX pictured above is also a later mold by Burtis, that was even different than original CCX design by Bayer I am told.
2) True, they did splash the CCX cars from an original "SC" not street car which we all know took a different form later in the evolution of the cars. The SC did have a slightly different shape. I have only pictures of CSX3045 after resoration for comparison so the world may never know? I do beleive that the sides look taller on CCX from the pipes hanging lower. My pipes hang lower off the body than an SC. A personnal friend has an SC and the pipes set higher on the rocker panels. I have heard that CCX did tighten the front wheel well a bit because they liked the look. Artistic liberty I guess.....
Heck, even ERA has taken some liberties with symmetry and shape.
3) Look at a Hi-Tech, Contemporary, ERA, CSXcont, or KMS at a show. They are truely top notch cars which set themselves apart from the rest in shape and form. (There are many other great cars of high quality and unique variation I am just using these examples)
This can be debated for days, weeks, or even years. Bottom line is looking under a Hi-Tech, CCX, CSXcont, KMS, and even some Midstates you will see a 4" round ladder style frame. Is Contemporay the best and most accurate? NO!
I would rank the top cars in the order of CSX via KMS with the more original suspension, KMS forged suspension, Hi-Tech and CSXcont glass tied for third with ERA and CCX a strong fourth. We all have our opinions on this front....
Bottom line CCX held to the original overall dimensions while replicating the look, feel, and essence of the original car.

Buy what YOU like and
drive it, unless it is a car made in the 60's with VIN of CSX2XXX or CSX3XXX it is nothing but a replication of the original car.
