Al,
Perhaps you think this what I attempted to portray because you are an FFR owner at this time and feel that I am attacking the brand or all of it's owners. I for one have nothing against the owners of FFR's or the brand itself having owned more than my fair share of them, and my plan to personally own another one or two of them in the future. I did and still do have a problem with the "gang mentality" that was shown that day, and just how that affected not only our interaction, but the end result(s). Also, as a matter of course, the fourth member of their group was not driving an FFR product, but a nice small block powered Unique 427SC, he genuinely wanted nothing more than to talk cars while his three fellow cruise mates wanted nothing more than to put down the car without even knowing what it was, why, simply because it was not an FFR roadster. The Unique owner apologized for his cruise mates lack of common sense and lack of comradere for a fellow cobra driver/owner. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall after I left as the Unique owner was genuinely concerned and was going to speak with his "friends" about how embarrassing they were. Of course the question I keep wondering is, are these FFR owners members of this forum or ffcobra, and if so, will they admit to their mistakes and offer an apology for their rude behavior that day? Of course I know that they are the minority and not the majority in this hobby. Ten again, this is not the first time I've been discriminated against for what brand Cobra I happen to have been driving, I've had others diss my old SPF, several of my FFR's, and even my Contemporary (when I sold my first FFR to purchased it), why, who knows, but the fact that it occurred and continues to occur in one way shape or form is what should be at issue. I kept my mouth shut that day, will I do so again, I guess that depends on the situation, but mostly likely yes, as some people get it and others do not.
Again just my continuing thoughts on this subject.
Bill S.

My thoughts on what's been posted thus far....
- Obviously these three guys were total A-holes with an extreme lack of respect for their fellow man. No matter what brand of car you drive, no matter how much better you "think" your car is than someone else's, that kind of attitude is uncalled for and just plain rude.
- I don't believe the builder vs check writer deal. I know people from both sides that have done or said some stupid things. There is nothing wrong with paying someone else to build your dream. Not everyone has the talent to do so, and that does not mean they don't have the right to have something they dream of.
- I do agree that people who travel in packs tend to let their oats out more then if they were alone, usually trying to be cool in front of the group.
- I do agree with Rich's post, in the sense that most replicas are not accurate representations of original cars, and that DOES dilute the info, and knowledge of the general public to what original cars really look like. HOWEVER, I do NOT agree that any blame should be layed on the owners of those cars. Obviously, many people just don't care about that, and they build their cars how they like. If the general public doesn't want to do their homework as to what original Cobra's really are, it's their own fault, not the owners of the "uncorrect" Cobra replicas.
Really what it comes down to, is that there just is no general statement or description of this type of person, as it relates to being a Cobra owner. They were A-holes because they were A-holes, not because they were Cobra owners.

Sure it is the general public's own fault for not doing their homework. But I am really not attempting to assign blame. Just commenting on the fact that this redefinition has taken place as a result of the tremendous inaccuracy of many Cobra replicas. Regardless of where the responsibility lies, it is just an unfortunate fact that this has taken place.
