Bill,
I read every post here, including all of yours. I stand by my post. You took a shot at myself and every FFR owner by naming which brand cars those jerks were driving...... I don't appreciate it. I initially chalked it up to a lapse in judgement on your part, but if you are going to continue to defend what you did, then I may have to reconsider my positon on that.

Rob,
You need to do as your screen name says and "Relax". Give it a rest. First of all, Bill just outlined the facts of what took place. He did not pass any judgement on a particular group. If you don't like the facts that is just too bad. I don't understand how you can get all over Bill when he just passed on a story of what happened to him.
With that said, as I read Bill's first post he does not mention FFR in his story.

Rob, take a closer look at this cut of my original post, the items in RED are exact quotes from the "other brand" cobra owners in question.

Then they start picking on the car I was in, look at the lack of quality of the paint with all of the chips, and how the brakes seem to be inadequate and how the knock offs I was using just did not look right, same goes for the dash and gauge layout and the faded carpets, and what is this, a radio mounted up underneath the dash, REAL cobras never came like this.

You really want to be angry at someone, be angry at that particular group of eastern central PA residents who felt a need to stroke their own egos in such a foul manner. Do not be angry at me for quoting what they themselves stated. Perhaps I should have added all of the quotes in, but believe me, I left out some truly ignorant statements and observations from these fellow "enthusiasts" before I posted anything here.
It took all of my will power not to tell this story to the NJ breakfast bunch yesterday, or to Roger the night before while we were at his home having dinner. I did not do so because it would have wound me up and spoiled the mood. Hell I wasn't even going to post it here, because of people like yourself taking things the wrong way, but several FFR (and other) owners over on another cobra related site suggested that I post for all to see as it was worth sharing with the cobra community as a whole. One particular individual (a moderator of another cobra site you also belong to) told me I had to post it to ffcobra, (in fact he double dog dared me to do so) for which I explained that I no longer post there (I have my own reasons but it is nothing against FFR or their products), so I relented and posted it here.
So in closing, as you can now very plainly see, I was not dissing any one group, and have always told people off who were badmouthing one brand over another here and elsewhere on the web and at shows. Again you want to be angry or disgusted, your aiming it at the wrong person, as I have yet to say one really bad word about FFR or it's general ownership base anywhere in this thread.
Whether you now get it or not, I do wish you well.
Sincerely,
Bill S.

I don't think the issue was that they were FFR owners as much as where they were from. They couldn't have been from PA, as I don't know anybody like that from PA. From what was said, I would have to say they were "Native New Yorkers", meet those people all the time, and the next on the list are the ones from MA and CA.

Sadly, all four cars had PA plates and dual inspection stickers for the easten portion of the state. On this I am 100% certain. I am also certain I had never met any of them before this encounter, and I've been to more than my fair share of cruises, shows, and racing events that I thought I knew most of the Cobra owners in our general area.
