Default Goodwood Festival of Speed pictures

Hi, we had a great time as usual at Goodwood for the Festival of Speed. Weather was a bit overcast but hey it is summer in the u.k. Sadly no Cobras.
The 1st picture is the display in front of Goodwood House. It was a tribute to Toyota.

Next up is two shots of Dan Gurneys 1962 Thompson-Buick Special.

How d,ya like this cool shot of the 1962 Redhead Streamliner on Lord March`s cricket pitch. In fact the grass was covered in salt to recreate a little bit of Bonneville.

Do i need to tell you guys who this is.

I had a great time there. I was flabbergasted at the amount of effort that went into the extravaganza, and the amount of detail such as the push trucks and the salt as you show above. Even though it was raining, I was never bored and never came close to seeing all of the available sights.
It was a fantastic experience. Thanks for the pictures.

Here is Emerson Fittipaldi, Allan McNish and Penske ALMS driver Timo Bernhard.

Me thinks Dynoroom (Mike LeFrenchguy) might know a little sumthin about that last one.

Just watched a program about MG's pre-war speed record history...didn't realize how extensive it was, or that Auto Union and M-Benz copied so much from their later designs.

Sounds like a good program, i would really like to see footage of Ken Miles in the MG EX179 at Bonneville in the 50`s. Are there any videos with that stuff on do you know?

They did show a quick clip of Miles at the Salt.

It wasn't our History or Discovery channels (the normal venues)...just something I caught channel surfing. I'll track it down. I'm at a hotel a few hundred miles away from the nest...
