A coupe good friends of mine (and Run N Gun Participants) live in Wichita Falls which is just a short drive across the Texas Border own Cobras and do cruises in that area. Brian White and Bill Swendenson are supper nice guys and you would enjoy their company on any cruise. By the way Quartz Mountain State Park is a great place for a cruise. I think there is a lake there called Crater Lake that is especially scenic. Just be carefull not to hit any buffalo while going thru Medicene Park wildlife reserve.

If that fails you are more than welcome to join in anything that Randy (Juggernaut) puts together thru the Tornado Alley Cobra Club. Crowds are good.

Welcome to Oklahoma!

Most of us seem to be in the Tulsa / northeast Oklahoma area. Seems to be at least 20 up here that I know of. There is one guy in Ada that goes by the screen name of modified here on the forum. We've talked quite often.

I can let you know what events we have planned in our area if you'd like. Will you be attending the Shelby Meet in Tulsa this June?

Might be closer for you to hook up with some Texas folks down your way but you're welcome to join in with us anytime.

Keep in touch.

Randy

Default Thanks for the Replies

Yes I would be interested in being involved in events in the state. I will attend Shelby meet in June. I finished my Cobra in December. I have managed to put a few thousand miles on so far. I was working on Central California Coast and really enjoyed a close knit Cobra Community and some really great roads. Car is still in Gel Coat till I have all of Mechanical Issues resolved. So I may need some guidance on some good shops or people in Oklahoma. I would like to meet the guys in Whicita Falls as we have already driven down into that area. I am also interested in track days. Thanks again for the replies.

Sign up for the Saturday at Mid-America Shelby meet because most of the 2000 cars will be at the drag strip on Saturday. Scott Stephens usually runs that session and you will have plenty of track time plus then run the course backwards (clockwise) which is a whole different animal. I think the cost for registraion is about $35 and then the Saturday session is around $150-$160.
