One thing I think helps. *** THINK FLATBED ***. Where ever you park your car, think about how someone can get it on a flatbed or pick it up with forks. There is NO WAY you can stop a thief with the right equipment. A car on the back of a towtruck or flatbed with its alarm going is so common these days - oh well, just another repo man doing his job. You can only make it so it's not worth his while though by making it difficult. A Lojack (which I have now) has a fifteen-minute delay before it even starts transmitting! Plenty of time for someone to get it disabled or jammed.

My oringinal Cobra, which took 14 years to build from scratch, had all the above anti-theft devices, but I parked it at the end of a row with the rear end exposed. Gone in two minutes with 400 miles on the speedo. It was only partially insured because I registered it before it was finished.

Use all the anti-theft tricks from this post, but above all, when parking, try to THINK LIKE A THIEF.

Then try to relax... a little.

Brian
