Amsoil synthetic oil

Not quite that long, but most experts now say that 3K miles is really a waste and normal oil changes should be more like 6K miles with non-synthetic oil. So 8 to 10K miles with synthetic is not a strech IMHO.

Oh I believe that the oil can last that long, just not the owners

I would still change it every year regardless of how many miles I would drive. Especially if I lived in a area with cold winters.

if it is racing oil then it has few if any detergents, it would then be critical to change the oil often. racing oils are made to be changed after every race or at least very often. Be careful. I would suggest Red Line (non race formula) Royal Purple, mobil 1 or Valvolene synthetic and add a bottle of STP red or two for more Zn
