How d,ya like this cool shot of the 1962 Redhead Streamliner on Lord March`s cricket pitch. In fact the grass was covered in salt to recreate a little bit of Bonneville.
Do i need to tell you guys who this is.

I heard there was a Ford powered Lola there...maybe it was all BS, just like the moon landing.

Me thinks Dynoroom (Mike LeFrenchguy) might know a little sumthin about that last one.
Just watched a program about MG's pre-war speed record history...didn't realize how extensive it was, or that Auto Union and M-Benz copied so much from their later designs.

Sounds like a good program, i would really like to see footage of Ken Miles in the MG EX179 at Bonneville in the 50`s. Are there any videos with that stuff on do you know?

They did show a quick clip of Miles at the Salt.
It wasn't our History or Discovery channels (the normal venues)...just something I caught channel surfing. I'll track it down. I'm at a hotel a few hundred miles away from the nest...

No worries Jamo, just wondering if you knew off the top of your head , glad you liked the pictures.
Johan, shame i did,nt bump into you, as my son and i would have loved to see your car up close. You were out on track when we were in the paddock. Are you going to the Goodwood Revival at the beginning of september? I hear this years tribute parade will be for Roy Salvadori. Paul

No, I had to decide prior to the Festival regarding the Revival since the
shipping had to be arranged. They had offered to keep the car for the interim, and lots of people do that. I wrote this guy Earl back and slipped a couple of bucks in so maybe I'll get invited back next year.

Well that's a couple of bucks you won't be seeing again! The Landed Gentry of this Fair Isle didn't build their stately homes on fresh air - they know how to lighten a wallet or two (a talent I can only admire and envy...) :-)
