Looking at the jacks on an original Cobra I see both sides as equal where the quick jack would rest.

Looking at the picture it looks like the quick jack is rolled to the car and manually tilted away from the car to lift it. With that in mind it would make sense to have the larger tine forward because the car would roll forward as you lifted it (from the front) so that would reduce the chances of it sliding off.
No hydraulics on the jack in the picture - a couple of big guys probably just
got on the other end and alley ooped it. Just a wild a$$ed guess here.

That's the picture they WON'T ever show us...punching the aluminum bodywork as the lift bar slipped and perforated the lower valance.

Thanks, I didn't think it was a strong lifting point and I wondered if anyone was using them. To see it in use there is an old movie called the Killers with Lee Marvin lots of good cobra action.

works on csx4163 but the car is a comp car with extra tubing and bracing, and frount sway bar is mounted to exta tubing. Lots of extra bracing whole car , 3tubes for side protection extra tubes for rear jacks also, would not use quick jack on car without exta bracing

The guy "injecting" is actually ckg tread depth, the bandana is a shop towel, and the driver was probably getting a "cold" one and taking a leak.
