Default looking for Sidepipe Gasket

Hello All,

I would like to know where the best place to buy the sidepipe gaskets.

The gaskets I am looking for has 8 bolt holes. I have been looking everywhere and I can not seem to find them.

Hi Pri,
You can get the gasket material from Summit, and cut them yourself. The stuff is not easy to cut. I drilled through it with a wood bit, and then finshed it up with a sanding drum on a Dremel. Clamp the gasket to the sidepipe flange and the pipes will act as a guide.......you may not want to do this if your pipes are coated(mine are stainless).

You can use the "plastic hammer" when getting the outline.

PLace the gasket over the flange and tap lighting with the plastic hammer. The outline of the area to be "gasketed" will appear on the material.

Mr Gasket makes blank sheet Exhaust gasket material.

Thanks for the suggestion, if I can not find them premade I guess I will have to make my own.

Isnt there a company that makes these premade?

Napa sells sheets of gasket material too.Mine was $12. for a very large sheet ,seemed like it was to cheap.worked well for header to side pipe too.Summit has pre-made gaskets for everything at a price.

I got mine from Park Place which is a Superformance dealer.

You might check to see if there is a dealer near you.

All you really need is Permatex Ultra Copper High Temp Silicone.
Run a bead all around the flange and bolt holes and you should be fine. Mine have been through 4 seasons with the Ultra Copper sealing sidepipe to header. Many guys also use the permatex as a header gasket.

Smile sidepipe gaskets

I blew out Mr Gasket gaskets, Hi-Temp sealants, everything I tried, I blew out. I bought a sheet of laminated aluminum (.048" .003" 9574K32 $56.07). I used a hamner to outline the gasket, hole cutters to cut the large and small holes and tin cutters to cut the outside edge of the gaskets. One year, 5000 miles and no leaks.

Dwight

I could sell you enough material to do two gaskets if you want. Just give me to size you need. 6" x 6" $8 a pair plus a little shippping.

Yup. No gaskets here for 50,000 miles. Just the Permatex Ultra Copper.
