Unlike France which has a superior intellect when it comes to titling vehicles , the United States titling system will vary from state to state (similar to your parking regulations from town to town). Some states change the way they view these cars from year to year based on who is elected in to what political office and what promises they may have made or what personal opinions they have on such vehicles. You will find legally titled cars in certain states that read 1965 Ford, you will find some from other states that read 2006 (or what ever year they were originally registered and titled) reconstructed or even "kit car". Again each state and each car will vary, so there really is no set "all American" car title. My advice is to find a particular car you are interested making an offer that is accepted, then taking a copy of that title to your motor vehicle agency to see how they like that particular titled vehicle. Otherwise you are just wasting your time.
