In my experience most of the guys with REAL money are actually good people. The people that want people to think they have big money are the a$$holes.

I have generally found no relationship between being an asshole and having or not having money, nor, between those that earned it or inherited it. I have met assholes in every finacial strada, and driving all types of cars. As far as the original owner that is the subject of this thread, it would seem to be heresay at this point.

My personal observations have shown that there is a greater frequency of "those kinds" of people when they do have large sums of money. However, here in Silicon Valley, and living close to the VC capital of the world, most of the money has neither been inherited or earned, but rather stolen from shareholders.

And even more so, Chuck.

FFRCobraMike neglected to point out here what he posted on FFCobra:

Howard said in his e-mail that it was an original AC Bristol
...so, it wasn't really a Cobra owner, but rather a Bristol owner.

I am uncomfortable seeing how this discussion is evolving, and I have to ask FFRCobraMike what was the benefit of starting this thread with the tone you used?

Actually after a quick look at your participation here, it seems you visit ClubCobra more to piss in the pool, rather than swim....so to speak.

Carmel Concours Replica Controversy
Comp Cams Lies to Better Business Bureau
Comp Cams Bad Tech Support Blew my Engine

I won't close this thread right now, but I'm real close.

The absence of the Bristol fact and the reference to Cobra owners in a broad brush is just unneeded controversy.

I agree this entire thread makes no sense, should not have been started, and is utterly retarded.

RON

I tried to send this as a private message, but as you can't seem to keep your mailbox from being full, I have no alternative but to air dirty laundry in public like you seem to do.

I feel your reply was completely inappropriate. If you have something like that to say, it should have been on a PM! I have posted many positive items including a post on a licensed shelby die cast. Instead of any positive responses, all I got was made fun of! I did not see you step in there. If you have a personal problem with my posts, then it should be handled personally and not in the public forum. I feel it is important to view problems as well as positives. What if a rip off mechanic was working in your neighborhood. Would you rather nobody said anything and you would have to find out about it yourself, the hard way. I have posted invites to cruises and get togethers. and all sorts of positive items. If this forum only allows positive posts then it is just as much censorship as any other kind. This is a FREE country and unless you want to make it like Germany in the 30;s and 40's, then people should feel free to express their opinions. If you don't believe that, then perhaps you should not be a moderator of this forum! Maybe it is YOU that needs censoring!

On so many levels, I disagree with this argument. Maybe it's hyperbole, but comparing Ron's moderation of this private forum has no comparison to Nazi Germany. Please close the thread.
