CSX 2205 at Ruby's car show
My family and I were at the Ruby's carshow this evening in Redondo Beach and we stumbled upon CSX 2205 parked in the lot. It was the first time I have seen an original there ever.
Anyway, while looking at the car, I overheard the owner and the guy who was parked next to him talking. After a few moments, the other guy invited the owner to go inside for a burger. There was a split moments silence before 2205's said, I can't go inside, I can't let it out of eyesight.
I chuckled and explained to my wife what had transpired and then we went in for a burger.
Nice street car and great to have and to show others...I guess, but to not be able to enjoy yourself at a fun evening out is kinda sad...to me that is.
By the way, anybody have any history on this car or who currently owns it? Just curious.

Mike,
It has probably changed hands since this and CW would know. But the 1997 Registry shows it as belonging to a R.L. Golden/B. Kimbell of New Mexico.

Always could have offered to pick up a burger for him.....

Maricopa,
Or he could have offered to sit in the car and guard it while the guy went inside.

Ahhh you are correct sir, that would have been the proper thing to do. Next time I will consult my 'Miss Manners Complete Guide to Car Show Etiquette' first!

You guys are too funny.
In retrospect, I should have offered to do that...that would have been the right thing to do or say...get him a burger that is! I don't think he would have been too thrilled with the alternative. He did look a bit preoccupied though with the hand full of people and their little rug rats standing around it.
Thanks for the information Ron, I suspect this owner is from Palos Verdes , as most of the high dollar cars that show up there generally come off the hill to the event. I'll have to go back again, see if he is there and talk with him.

Mike,
When the new registry is finally delivered it will most likely show the latest owners and updates. I have one on order and am anxiously awaiting it. But with all of the stuff going on and then the printer they were going to use shutting down, it has been somewhat delayed from the original intended delivery date. And I know of two originals that have changed hands since the 1997 registry that I have was published.
