Since this was recently discovered, shouldn't it be "continuation deordorant"?

You know the REAL funny thing is you guys are making fun of a man, who but for him you wouldn't even have your beloved replicas (I notice none of you own Shelbys...what a surprise and coincidence ) of his Cobra new or old, replica businesses as the case may be or the Cobra history and legend that you all revere.
When any of you attain the successes he's attained and American automotive history then perhaps you have standing to ridicule his business ventures until then...candidly you look silly perhaps even disrepectful and ungrateful. Midgets nipping at the heals of a Giant and legend.
My read.
 Sad.

I am new to this, but I now know the rumours are true. There is no common ground between Replica owners (who I feel pay the highest homage to the car) and real Shelby's. Why do the real Shelby owners act like they don't smell and they have blue blood?

Evan...last night, when I read your post, I couldn't quite figure out where you were coming from with it.
(Thanks you for toning down the original uncalled-for epithets)
DTurnbull started the thread to show a piece of memorabilia that was on eBay and commented that he'd have trouble on the home front paying $50 for a 40 year old spray can.
NONE of the posts up until yours took any shot at CS, the history or the legend. Yet you swoop in and make another declaration.
Only, this a.m., did I see how you were mistaken in your assessment.
On the Autoweek thread, you state:

Evan...the spray can is from the 60's and is a collectible...it is not a new venture
If you took a moment to read the description of the listing:
Quote:

A subsidiary called Shelby Accessories working out of El Segundo, California, marketed driving gloves, Shelby Cobra logo cuff links, ball caps, windbreakers, T-shirts, sweatshirts, beer and cocktail glasses, mugs, ashtrays, jacket patches, decals, artists' prints of racing scenes, Snell-approved driving helmets, and of course, the renowned Pit Stop, "A Real Man's Deodorant!" Label on the 6 oz can features a likeness of Shelby himself, as well as a line of his race-winning cars around the side: two GT40s and a Cobra bringing up the rear. Circa 1966.

With your post, you did a drive-by on the wrong street.
I suggest you give it a rest for a while, since you seem to be in a pretty defensive mood...now firing wildly at anything that moves in the area of your core beliefs.

I didn't link to the ebay item, but have several old magazines with the ads in them. I'm glad Ron pointed out it was an OLD(very, very) item. I thought from Evan's post that it was a recent redo.I like the WHO, but was all over them getting sponsored by Budwieser a few decades ago.I'm sorry that Evan didn't see the humor in ....just the name...Pit Stop.. it cracks me up. But so did Hai(sp) Karate.

As one of the posters before Evan's first post, I thank you for your comment. Ron, keep up the good work.
If you use that deodorant, do you smell like 40 weight? (That's a joke, not a derogatory comment!)
