There are more FIA style, street style 289's and slab sides around currently than there have been in the past, but your point is well taken. There was a report of a 1964 Cobra for sale (here and on SAAC.com) that was CLEARLY a 427 body style and COULD NOT be confused with any 1964 edition of a Cobra. And yet, the seller was adamant about it being a 1964, go figure... For all we know about the car in question in this thread it actually was a 427 body style that someone called a 1964, incorrectly.
