met him a few times and he treated me like I was one of the guys even though I was a young nobody. Truely one of the greats! RIP

A man with amazing accomplishments. He raced F1 cars back in the time when drivers were killed racing almost weekly, yet he never really had an major accidents. Amazing considering he won the Grand Prix Chamionship in '61.

Phil Hill learned Italian, and apparently his hand gesturing when he spoke would put the Italians to shame. Photo below as an example:
