I'm not sure either, but if it's a CMC they went to a lot of work to install a Jag rear.

That is what threw me as well, but the rest of the box chassis (open ends) reminds me of a very early CMC.......

The welds look pretty crude to me...maybe a homebuilt chassis with someone's body?? If that is a CMC chassis they should go out of business...oh wait..too late.

Martin,
I am not sure this will be of any help but some of the people that posted there may be able to help you.

That link relates to Contemporary Classic replicas. What Martin wants is info on CMC - Classic Motor Carriages. With a Jaguar rear suspension, the frame is unlikely to be a CMC unless the previous owner has done some extensive reworking (and that might well be the case).
Also, the body does not appear to be from that manufacturer. The rear cowl area at the back of the cockpit, for example is different. The CMC bodies have a deep vertical lip in that area, as opposed to a thinner "rolled" edge like most Cobras, including the one in Martin's pictures. I'll try to dig up some CMC pictures to see if we can at least compare chassis features.
