COBRA --- Years Owned/Miles Driven

Me --- 7 Years, 60,000 miles driven

You?

Power Surge 04-06-2009 09:19 PM

Hmmm, wanna say three years now.... and about 10k miles.

Got the Bug 04-06-2009 09:55 PM

Two years in July and I've put 5,500 miles on my car.

Sharroll - Same motor all 60,000 miles?

RedBarchetta 04-06-2009 09:55 PM

Five years and embarrassed to admit how few miles. Only averaging 1,200/yr, but I also travel quite a bit and follow my high school baseball player son around religiously. So those are my excuses. Then there were other prolonged driving delays such as the bearing swap, the fuel pump eccentric issue, the cracking oil pan, getting the rear wheels widened, custom mufflers, blah, blah, blah. :D

COBRA Years Owned, Miles Driven

43 years OD is 10,500 (I drove it on the street for a couple of years and then built a trailer when it snapped a half shaft 200 miles from home on a Sunday evening at 5:00 PM)

rms427 04-06-2009 10:15 PM

41 years and 68,000 miles. 48,000 miles in the first 4 years. Car was in storage for a number of years while I worked overseas.

Same short block, but had new aluminum heads put on about 30,000 miles ago. Had a porosity issue with an old pair of aluminum heads, so we replaced them.

tboneheller 04-07-2009 06:44 AM

12 years/4400 miles.

Ray,

You covered some ground during the first four years! I went back and read your post from 2002 about when you first purchased your Cobra in 1968.

Just over 8K in 5 years. Getting better all the time. Sometimes life just gets in the way. Great thread though.
