Any ideas where I can get switch labeling
I am making a custom console for my 'stang and trying to stay with the retro theme, I'd like to go with an older style switch like these;
or similar. I'd also like to get or have made some custom labels. Eg "fan" "fog light" etc.
Have any of you guys had lables like these made. Maybe a highway truck supplier might have some premade labels?
thx

If you want the retro look get one of the old Dymo label makers like the one below:

I paid a guy in a bowling alley to scribe on brass plates what I wanted. He changed like $3.00 each. He did them in the off hours. He used the same machine he used to engrave trophies and bowling balls.
Find an "Awards" shop or trophy shop and see if they will do it. You will need to come up with the plates.

Switch Lables
I just bought a whole sheet of them from Dashdecals. They sell on line and they fit around the switch you have. I think it was $11.00 for 85 including mail.
They look great,
Pat

Pat, thanks for the tip. Looks like it is worth a try for only $11.45 shipped.

Pat, thanks for the tip. I tried to order during the day at work and had trouble. Went home and got through right away. How long did it take to get the labels? Chas

Dash Decals
I think I ordered on Thursday and they showed up on the following Tuesday. As I remember, it was a holiday weekend.

I received my dash decals yesterday. They look great. I had a problem using them because they didn't just go over the switch. I had to remove the ring and then put them on. I have a lightly padded dash and when I tightened the ring back on it made the decal bow up at the outer edge. Still better than the labels I had on there. Chas

Okay, just getting around to this, for my winter project.
Does anyone know where I can get switch guards like those shown in the picture?
I could make something, but I can see it taking me a long time to do. I'd rather buy something premade if I can.
