I knew you didn't. It was that scheming no-good Computerworks that was portraying you as conniving, disingenuous malcontent. The pics you posted look great, btw.

I didn't catch the make of your replica but it looks like they short changed you on the hood rivets.

Evan, forget the CSX and FGT, I was really looking forward to a pic of your wife's grocery getter...the Range Rover.

Ok. Will post pic tomorrow.

Didn't say the make the "replica" since I don't own one..as to the hood rivets...always a wise guy around. Never fails.

Takes care.

Why don't we just change this to a Big Block vs. Small Block thread and I'll go make some popcorn.

Forgive me for posting 24 months after a thread began but I haven't been back to the forum in a couple years (since I sold CCX-3152 in 2009). I came back in today when I got a hit on a long since forgotten part I had for sale in the classifieds. I might still have the part, who knows.

In my case life got in the way. I didn't sell 3152 because I had to, a career change in 2006 made "spare time" for me something of a rarity and I found after 24 months in my nej job I had loogged fewer than 150 miles in my car. Walking past the car on my way to work at O'dark thirty and returning after night fell for two years was more painful than letting her go to someone who had the time to appreciate her. 3152's buyer was a former CSX owner that wanted to recapture his youth. I am sure he is enjoying her as much as I did.

My current line of work is a little more rough and tumble than my last and we have a large population of "motorcycle enthusiats" so what spare time I do have is still spent in the wind. I have actually found a bike that is much like driving a 427 Cobra. The XB Buell is a loud tempermental bile that can be made to produce similar power and torque with a 7,000 RMP redline but a fairly limited top speed. It runs hot, smells and pukes oil occasionally and makes me smile while doing it.

God I miss this place. Some say you can never go home again and maybe that is true but I've already decided my next car will be an modern FE based Kirkham. See you then...

M

OK, you're forgiven. I love it when an old thread gets resurrected. Right now is a buyer's opportunity in Cobra land, but you're welcome back here just with a desire for one alone.

Mike, my daily driver is a Buell XB12X and I dig it to. Although I find driving the Cobra very similar to riding, for me at least, they could not replace one another. I drive the BDR a lot more than most of my fronds thought I would but if you got a KMP then I could pine for one of those as well!

For me it's just the other way around sold my bike and started to build a 289FIA.

But to the main subject, so far - close to one year member - I have not seen outrages posts or insults (like on other forums). The forum is nice and newbies get a good response rate.

People move on, to expect making "friends" for life here is wishful thinking. What ever happened to the word and meaning of acquaintance?

Looks like I found your part - is that the wheel in the center if the second picture?

Be careful out there and keep the rubber down.

Hey Mark. I'd heard about this awesome Ford GT collection in Chattanooga but never fully believed it existed... Until now. Thanks for posting pics. Alex
