Talking Bill, you're too much!!!!

..I just noticed your profile..the type of car you own? Future owner? HAHA!!!! I got a good laugh out of that.

You'll have to 'splain the bagpipes to me, I'm having a brain cramp.

Cranky is correct, SDW is planning on making this an extra special outting for all at the Glen. Looks like this might be one of our best turnouts ever. I sure wish you were coming up Bill.
SDW is trying to set a new standard for the event. Rumour has it he will be bring up his newly restored Electra 225 for a go on the long course, but I don't think that sled will make it through the boot.

I'm sure all CC members will leave with a face on Sunday.

Hopefully, the weather gods will approve of us denigrating the surrounding countryside with ear shattering DBs.

I love the smell of 110 octane in the morning....

MUST GET TO THE GLEN...MUST GET TO THE GLEN

Bill,

The best way to get John to stop from bringing out the bagpipes is to lower the hem of his kilt!!

Just took ol' 83 out for a test ride. runnin on at maybe 6. Won't have no problem with those little guys. Now where did I leave those summer tires?

John,

You just now noticed my "sig".........I've been waiting almost three weeks for you to notice that one.....As for the Glen, my budget has been blown due to unforseen "other" vehicle problems (rob one account to cover another).....Someone will have to take some video/still shots and post them to the web (or make me a copy and I'll pay shipping and cartridge charges)..............Next year will be a good one, and I'll have more time (and funds) in which to further my "on track" adventures. For now, I've neutered the Cobra (removed any and all decals and emblems), and will be playing around with different fuel combinations before the chassis dyno at the shop is put away for the winter (end of this month it gets buttoned up until spring). Some interesting numbers and air/fuel tweaks are in order, as my first runs were far too rich, while my last carb swap provided another 20 rear wheel horsepower, with it running in a lean condition now (just wait until the jets and power valves have been optimized).......Only time will tell......

Don,

I'm not even going there......Only the Contessa & MrBruce's "Cheetah girls" know for sure .

Sincerely,

Bill S.

PS: If you really want to tweak your cars for next year, the full chassis dyno is the only way to go

Default Sounds good!

Bill,

Since I already have the dyno sheet for the 351W on the stand, I would love to get it up on Bruce's machine and get some rear wheel numbers.

After the Glen, McStang will be put away for the winter and I can then resume work on the 289. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think you'll have to change the sig in your profile!

Don,

Remember that toy, "Klick-Klaks"? They may make an appearance at the Glen. "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...."

Rumor has it that Peter Baselice (who is coming w/o his car) is bringing a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue. I'm a scotch drinker and I've never had this stuff.

God only knows whose spirit will be channeled through me around the bonfire....SDW? CS? Braveheart? Popeye? Flo the Waitress? Only time...and alcohol will tell.

Default Watkins Glenn NY?

Where can I find information on this weekend's event? I'd like to go and will bring my digital Camcorder so that I can make some AVI's to post on the web (movies that you can watch over the web for all of the non-techies out there).

If you'd like to take this off line drop me an email at ediamondjr@hotmail.com

DD,
Don't worry about this little guy. I got a page full of excuses.
Track is too cold
Track is too hot
Forgot to correct tire pressure
New clutch out of adjustment
Forgot to put in racing oil
Seat belt too tight
Seat belt came loose
Too much toe in
Too much toe out
Seven spark plug wires fell off
Hangover
Need a drink
Tired from last night's party
And last excuse FE powered Cobra cheating by having more HP than me.
See you Thurs. Night
RD

Thumbs down Weather Report

Looking at the weather, I am getting conflicting reports.

The Weather Channel says Scattered Showers all three days.

RoboWeather is saying Scattered Showers on Friday only and partly Sunny and windy Saturday and Sunday.

We have been pretty fortunate the last three years at the Glen in October with beautiful weather. We may luck out again, who knows. As long as we don't have snow blowing in horizontally like we did in May of 2000.
