What would be the point of using a comp windshield today, is it the look you want or is it in the rules to race in a certain category, the weight savings can't really be enough to make a difference for just grassroots racing?

The full windscreen is a huge air dam, the competition windscreen cuts out a substantial amount of drag. Besides, it just looks really cool, IMHO.

The big open grill is a huge air dam also, they do look cool, you can tilt the windshield back for better airflow and switch to a plastic windshield for weight savings, I guess if your racing for world records you might as well get a comp windshield...
