Default Ever get to that point??

Any of you ever experience that point where you are really close to being finished but yet when you look at all the nit picky little things left to do you feel totally overwhelmed?

It is not as bad when you have a few days in a row to work on the thing but when its a hour or two here and there you dont know what to start with. Seems like a never ending task.

Just wondering,

Aaron

Aaron:

Don't worry, keep plugging. There are times that it is very frustrating! Just take a step back and think about your next move. It is almost like playing chess!
If you have a question ask it here, remember, no question is STUPID! As someone said in a movie, "Stupid is, as Stupid Does"!
What do you have to do yet? Send some pics of the car! If you want, take a ride over to Cleveland and I am sure we can get a couple of A & C cars together so you can see what we did. I'm sure I can travel a bit with mine if you want, Steve Boardman is not far and John Mazzolini is on the way.
Send some pic's and ask questions, do a little bit and make a pack to do a little bit every day.
Call if you want, 248-765-9456 (my cell).
Jim

Wink

Even when they are finished and running, they still are not finished.

Just do at least ONE thing per day, even if its only 10 minutes. Before long, you will be driving it.

Oh yea, I forgot to say that in 6 of the last 7 days I have taken just that approach and gone for a ride each day

Just make a list, continue to add to it but strike out what you have completed as you do it. If you get discouraged just look at what you actually HAVE completed. It takes time but is very satisfying to see it come together, take pictures and look at them often, it will reming you how far you have actually come. Keep a good thought.

I'm with Rick - make a list, prioritize it, start doing them and checking them
off. It helps keep you focused and on track, and before you know it, you
will be done with that list. Time to start another. Like wtm 442 said,
"you are never finished". That is what is great about these cars: work in
process!. Keep smiling and keep wrenching - keeps us out of a lot of
trouble.

When you get close, really close, walk away....take 24 hrs and think about where you are with it. Go and study what you think it should be presented as, no last minute concessions now. Do a shakedown when it works for you, a SHORT one, there will be lottsa bugs, deal with them one at a time and take your time, don't let the anxiety of impatience screw up your new car.
In my former biz we used to say "hurry up and f#*k up".
