Wind wings installation problems

Hi everyone: Im having trouble installing my wind wings on my windshield. Now the Windshield is from Antique and collectables that came with the kit. The wind wings and the mounting hardware is from Finishline. First of all, the bolts that came with the hardware is a totally different thread then the little bolt that came from the windshield. The windshield bolt is 10-24 thread. Thats nothing i guess, i can get new bolts with the proper thread size. The problem is that the bolts going into the windshield is angled but the mounting base on the hardware guides the bolt straight in. So if i get a bolt long enough to consider such an angle, there is no way i can tighten it enough to sit flush with out causing some damage.

Did anyone else go through this problem and how did you fix it?
