So, we meet at I-60 and Idaho Rd. Saturday morning about 7:30 and hook up in Winkleman around 8:30? Sound right?

Danr55, thanks for putting a time on the day. I have checked the forecast temps for Saturday: Phx = 96, Globe =88. No percipation expected. The restaurant is : Maria's
Restaurant, 640 Morris Rd., Hayden, AZ. 520-356-6807. It is the same one that we have been to in the past. I spoke with her and she will have the restaurant ready for us. Please phone her and let her know how many will be coming from Phoenix before you leave. I'll be doing the same from Tucson. If you get there first, get in and get your orders in. I'll ask her to have water glasses on the table. We'll see you at 8:30 am. Let the Challenge begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John, that was supposed to be a question. Just made sense since the guys from the west side are not big on getting up early on the weekend.

Mikie, From what I've seen of responses so far, you need to bring money.. This may be the first year that Tucson wins.

Maybe Maybe not. Think we are going. Mike B is going and bringing Karl. Does that count as two, well maybe 1 1/2 since Karl really doesn't have his car done.

Mikiec, If I was you, I'd go to the bank or post office and get some nice shiney dollar coins. As usual, I don't have a clue as to how many of the Tucson guys will attend. Our two snow-birds have left and they are really strong supporters of this run. Anyone up for a side bet ? I'll give a roll of brand new pennies to each Cobra that you guys have over 20. You give us a Susan B. Anthony dollar for each one we have over 7.

It IS way too early..... In order for me to meet the Tucson group at 7 a.m. I have to leave my house by 6 a.m. at the latest. In order to get up, make and have my coffee, and actually be awake enough to drive I have to be up by 4:30 a.m. on my day off!!! I am planning on going but no promises.... Seriously, I need to form a splinter cell of the Arizona group who thinks these early morning drives are nuts! How about an after noon/evening drive once in a while??? Too hot in the afternoon to drive a convertible???? I think you East coast fellas need to move back home! LOL!

AZFM...Ain't you da guy with the vinyl covered hard top on his Cobra? That's a bit different from driving an open car when its 190 in the shade.

Maybe Mark's got air-conditioning in his Cobra and so he don't got to take the hard top off during summer, or maybe he's got a block of ice in the trunk cooling the beers??
Mark, so how does that work?
Karl, can you tell me when its ever got to 190 in the shade and where?
Maximum in Sun City West is 160 and that's after a Texas style good ole chilli cookout with lot's of beer.
Cheers, John, AKA, tin-man

Talk to his boss. Viv should be able to whip him into shape.. Wait a minute.....whip..perhaps not the right word to get him OUT of the house.

Danr55, would you consider phoning George when you leave at 7;30 am. You could remind him that his sleeping -in has cost Mikiec $$$. Or, is that George's plan ? Why doesn't George like Mikiec ?
