BTW nobody has explained what an S member is. Mikie are there various levels of membership? I know that Ratboy and myself are considered rookies, which presupposes I am a member, but know body brought up that point, but what else is there for us to aspire for?

For example what membership level does Dannr hold, the equivalent to that of a senior Arbiter, [we calls em, Sphincter Police over here] and I would think that Karl has a senior position due to his life experiences and Jeff C has got to be at a very high technical level on account of his vast knowledge of the manqué. I suppose we could throw Car Nut into that mix as well since he "says" he does things with cars and I am guessing, with the exception of Dave from Mesa the rest of the clubs fine upstandin' gents wind up in various and sundry positions, depending on what day of the week it is. Now I am hazarding a guess here, but my take on the position Dave from Mesa holds is akin to secretary of the club, since it very apparent when reading his threads, he has a vast amount of knowledge as to what people have said. Am I right?

Baseline is a good thirty miles off, hardly call that general location. Maybe someone told you your line was off base, hence your confusion.

Dave's the hitman. Gotta know the secret handshake.

Car Nut, you are absolutely correct I confused West Beardsley with Baseline in my dim memory of previous posts. Of course the location of the Safeway is near 83rd and West Pleasant Parkway, I drove there right?. Mea culpa. Now on to more important matters, what is an S member, is it better than the rookies position and if so why hasn't Ratboy attained this level yet?

Not to change the subject, but where do you get your fold up chairs from?

If you're talking about the really compact ones, you'll have to ask Mikie or Donald. Mine are bigger with the folding side table, I think wifey got them at Costco.

I can't tell you what an S member is, are you talking about a car part?

Thanks Mikie, but I prefer the FUG list.

So putting all this idle chatter aside, how can I get my name added to the AZ Cobras member list and why aren't the names listed alphabetically, just curious. tin-man

AZ Bob
That's gotta be the worst ever shot I have received so far and cuts deep, way deep, since I am a very sensitive person. So why you guys keep pickin' on me, pick on Ratboy,he's just a kid, whereas I am a senior fine upstandin' gent of yore, who used to do tricks with a wh....oops sorry, I was lookin for a limerick for taint........er, have you no respect for your elders?

Respect is generally something earned rather than granted randomly. In this case, the Rodney Dangerfield rule is in effect. As for the FUG list, PINK will have to consider and make that determination. Since all lists except the mailing list are PINK lists. As to elders, well, you are what you are and that's a good thing. As for special priviledges, you're beginning to sound like a snow bird.

No, you are not a senior fine upstanding gent.... You are an ancient upstanding gent. Thus the inclusion in the A-list.

To be added to the member list, I think you are talking about, send an email to Mr. Pink.

yep, I am beginning to realize that and appreciate your remark, perhaps I was being too kind when I originally refered to several of the memebrs of the AZ Cobra's as fine upstandin gents.. Seems I may have misjudged a lot of people. Like Dan said, respect is earned and fine upstanding gents generally earn that title. I fear I may have bestowed it too hasely and thus will rescind it herewith and henceforth.

hey Tinner.. Don't worry about it. The only llist that is important is Mikie's mailing list. I'm sure you're already on Mike's list.

Tinny, Mr Pink is Jim Olson. He owns and runs our club website at: AZ Cobras
To be added just click on the "contact" word and e-mail your info and photo of car to Mr Pink.
He's called Mr Pink because of his choice of undershorts.

AZ Bob
