For those of you who might join us
Here is the official website for the event May 1 to May 3, 2015 the 27th Year.
Arizona Route 66 Association
Here is the Kingman site: Historic Route 66 Fun Run
We leave from Carefree Hwy & I-17 about 10am Friday, stop in Chino Valley on route 89 at Safeway/Taco Bell for fuel and pit stop. Next, we Check in for the Route and Lunch at the Snow Cap in Seligman and on to the Travelodge in Kingman to check in then a group dinner out.
Saturday we return to Seligman for the official Route 66 run to Kingman for a large car show on Andy Devine by the Visitor's Center. Then bench racing till Pizza Hut dinner in the parking lot. Sunday you can finish the route to Topok or join some of us in the "Salmon Run" which is back to Seligman on Route 66.
There is a registration fee of $50: http://d1jrmfye9ccs29.cloudfront.net...gistration.pdf
But you do get a T-Shirt, goody bag and normally a license plate. You do not have to register except for Car Show entry.

Bob or Dan
Where and when do we pick up the registration packet? Will we arrive in Kingman in time to pick up the packet on Friday as the registration form indicates or do we pick it up when we check in for the route at the Snow Cap in Seligman when we stop for lunch?

Rutherford, If you are driving a cobra, it's pretty warm here in June. You may want to drive in the early morning and motel by 3pm when you are sweating.
Here is avg temps for Phoenix in June:
Average temperature: 91
Average high temperature: 104
Average low temperature: 78
Warmest ever: 122
Coldest ever: 60
Average precipitation: .02

I'd say stay high and stop in Flagstaff. Avoid the PHX valley altogether using I-40 during june. Good luck on your drive.

Rutherford: don't let those sissy, nanby-pambies scare you away. Just be sure to cover any exposed skin with lots of sun screen and HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE.

Ok, put me on the list, I signed up for my reservation this morning. Got a top floor reservation, to late for the ground level. Been wanting to do this run for a long time and finally have the time to do it. Looking forward to the trip.

Mike, see link #2 this posting. I guess he can't take my "intervention" techniques!
I'm sure Scotty snores also...only not as loud.

Probably not as intervention shouldn't including whispering in his ear while nibbling and licking his ear.
