Windshield is installed. Looks good. Official Cobra Run Friday. Ready to roast!
See you all 9:30am for 10am departure. 4 Brother's Chevron on Carefree Hwy just east of the I-17.

Either works but I was thinking "hoping" as in I'm hoping I can get him if I get a jump.

Install by Jason (same guy as last time in 2010.) He said it took him 7.5 hours today to do it. Cost was $863.96 paid by my ins to me then by me to Safelite. Window came from Hillbank for $575 + $60 shipping. Install done by Safelite http://tinyurl.com/map3orv . At least this time they didn't ask me to take it elsewhere next time.

Holy Crap! That is part of the reason I decided not to go this time, also need tires all around. 1500 for glass and another 700 for rubber. Plus 2000 mile trip back to the frozen North about a week later is too much.
Maybe next year. Have fun!!!

Ralph,
Get a Lexan windshield from Fast Eddies and install it yourself. Under $300 !! Takes about 1 1/2 hours. An extra set of hands is helpful. I installed mine 5 years ago, and still happy.

Are we taking Route 93 all the way to I40 and then east to Seligman ? Can someone post a map route so I'll have a copy for the trip ?

When I cracked my windshield I got a piece of lexan for $38 ( home depot)drew an outline from the old one, cut it out on bandsaw and mounted it! Easiest and cheapest
repair I've ever done on the car.

Mike did it the right way. I went that way with my other car and found out the hard way to NOT use a jig saw! The plastic just wanted to melt back together and poor Mesa Dave spent hours making it. We made my wind wings and sun visors using a band saw and table saw and it was uber easy....for Dave. I'm not so good with sharp things. I swear, I cut it three times and its still too short!

BTW Bob, your installer was blowing smoke when he said it took him 7 1/2 hours. If it did, he's in the wrong business, or he's gouging the snot out of your insurance company.

Scotty, we are not taking 93. Here is the entire Friday trip to the Travelodge Motel: http://tinyurl.com/olllhcq
Same way we always go except following 66 from Seligman to Kingman.

Scotty, we will go north on 17 to Cordes Junction. Then west on AZ 69 to Dewey. Just before the hill to Prescott Valley, turn right on Fain Rd. That will end at the short strectch of 89A west ( Pioneer Prkwy) that goes to AZ 89. Go right (north) on 89 through Chino Valley. We usually stop at Safeway, in Chino Valley for fuel and potty breaks for the ladies and old men. Continue on 89 north to I 40. Take I 40 west to Seligman. (About 39 miles) In Seligman we pick up the Cruise package, have a bite at Snow Peak, and then continue on to Kingman.

Isn't the place where we ate breakfast, Sunday morning, on last year's run, on the west side of Seligman? Thought their food was much better than Snow Cap's so that's where I'll be eating. Other than "tradition" I see no advantage to Snow Cap's food. Long wait (which will be anywhere), marginal food, difficult parking, mediocre band. yadda yadda.

Well, if you're going to be like that, I understand that the Copper Cart is open again.. They HAD the best mexican food in Seligman at one time. Not sure about now, but I may find out. West Side Lilo's is where we ate breakfast on Sunday last year.
