"The rain sure felt good. Caught the red light at McDowell and 64th street heading west up and over Papago. First in line. What do you think I did."
In the rain? Go sideways or around in circles?

Cars & Coffee Morning
6 cobras and me in my Mustang gathered about 6am so we could park together. Warm, humid morning but no traffic. Coffee and iced tea free to participants. Lots of cool cars, perhaps about 150. Our cars were a big draw. Fun time but hot by 8am. Broke up about 9am.
Here's a photo:
Thanks go to Keith, Karl, Joe, Ron, Gary and Bruce for joining us.

As I was driving north on S'dale Rd, about 9am, today, I came up behind a very nice silver, wire wheeled, under-car-exhaust, slab slide, with black and gold CA plates. He may have been at the show but I didn't see him there, so no chance to talk to him or look over his car.
Sound familiar to anyone?

Krl. From the description I'd say you came.up on an original with old California plates.

Danr, that was my first thought but now that new black and gold plates are available, I don't know. The plate had a D over an L so I thought maybe it was a dealer plate. ???

Karl, I just checked and California is now issuing "Historical" plates.. so the one you saw could be from two months ago.. Not a clue but I prefer to think you saw an original slab side with 1960's California plates...
